Tomb Raider The Angel of Darkness has a lot of flipped polygons and Nakamichi680 managed to fix them. The patch #1 fixes the 'Eckhardt addresses the Cabal' cutscene. A before / after comparison (look at the lamp): - The patch #2 fixes the 'Before Von Croy's Apartment' cutscene.

Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness is a 2003 video game developed by CORE Design and published by EIDOS Interactive. After Lara Croft's mentor Werner Von Croy is assassinated in his apartment in Paris, Lara must uncover the mystery behind his death whilst escaping from the French authorities and a clandestine organization that wants her dead. The Angel of Darkness appears on Wikipedia's worst video games list for its negative reception. Its bad publicity is considered to be the reason for Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life's poor box office performance, and it led to EIDOS taking the development rights away from CORE Design, leading to the company's collapse. In terms of firearms, AoD is notably the first Tomb Raider game not to feature Lara's dual Browning Hi-Power pistols with unlimited ammunition, instead taking the Heckler & Koch USP models seen in the first two films.

The following weapons can be seen in the video game Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness:

  • 1Handguns
  • 2Submachine Guns
  • 3Shotgun
  • 4Less-than Lethal
  • 5Grenades

Tomb Raider Patch Angel Of Darkness Mlp

Note: Every handgun model uses the same texture on both sides, granting unrealistic features for guns, such as an ambi slide release lever for the M1911A1, or an extractor that is present on both sides of the Hi-Power.

M1911A1

A nickel M1911A1 variant with front cocking serrations and black grips, known as the 'M-V9' in the game. Fires 9mm rounds from a 12-round magazine. This is the first weapon Lara can obtain and is the standard weapon used by guards around Paris. The 'Cleaner' uses two gold-plated M1911A1-type pistols with short barrels.

Some promo images depict the M-V9 with a scope and suppressor. It is worth noting that this version of the pistol is correctly shown with an extended barrel, what is likely supposed to represent a threaded barrel, a necessity for mounting suppressors.

Heckler & Koch Mark 23

The Heckler & Koch Mark 23 is seen in the hands of French police during the first levels of the game. Not usable by Lara.

Heckler & Koch USP Match

The Heckler & Koch USP Match appears as the 'Vector R-35', and features a grey slide and compensator. Chambered in .45 AUTO, but holds only 9 rounds instead of the correct 12. Dual USP Matches can be unlocked using cheats.

This is the first game in the series to feature the USP Match, mirroring their appearance is the 2001 movie, which became the signature handgun of Lara Croft in the later games, including Legend and Underworld.

Luger P08

The Luger P08 appears in-game as the 'Rigg 09'. Holds 9 rounds instead of the correct 8. It is first seen pulled by Werner Von Croy in the intro of the game. It appears that the modeler used the USP Match's model and texture and modified it to look Luger-ish.

Glock 17

The Glock 17 with full-auto conversion appears as the 'Scorpion X' in the game, and holds 30 rounds in its standard-size magazine. It is worth noting that 30-rounder magazines don't even exist in real life, you would have to load a 31-round magazine with only 30 rounds. For an unknown reason, the extractor / loaded chamber indicator has a slightly glowing red color, as if it was some sort of LED. It is possible that the developers did not understand how that feature works; it is a physical indicator, not visual.

A modified variant with a threaded barrel (Glock 17 Pro) is seen on promo images, fitted with a sound suppressor. Dual Glock 17s can be unlocked using developer commands.

IMI/MRI Desert Eagle Mark VII

The Desert Eagle Mark VII in .50 Action Express appears as the 'Desert Ranger' in the game. Has an incorrect 9-round capacity.

Browning Hi-Power

Kurtis Trent uses a nickel Browning Hi-Power pistol, known as the 'Boran X'. The game states that this pistol was custom-made by Kurtis (maybe by modifying an existing Hi-Power pistol). Holds an impossible 25 rounds in the magazine. This weapon can never be acquired by Lara.

Heckler & Koch MP5N

The H&K MP5N appears as the 'Mag Vega'. This is the standard weapon used by Cabal commandos and guards at the bio-research facility. Later it is seen in the hands of dead soldiers at the sanitarium. Sometimes is fitted with a flashlight mounted over the barrel.

Some promo images show the gun with a sound suppressor and scope, however there attachments are not available in the actual game.

PP-19 Bizon

The original version of the PP-19 appears as the 'Viper SMG'. It is first seen used by the 'Cleaner', a hitman sent to take care of Lara at Von Croy's apartment. Chambered in 9x18mm Makarov, however it features and inaccurate 70-round magazine. This version of the Bizon holds 64 rounds in real life. Fitted with a suppressor and is shown without the stock. Again, it appears that the scope was cut from the final game.

For an unknown reason, the PP-19's magazine shows up as a Desert Eagle's magazine in the inventory.

Mossberg 500 Cruiser

A Mossberg 500 Cruiser with a heat-shield appears as the 'V-Packer' in the game. It is very effective against skeletons and guards wearing bulletproof vests. This is the only weapon in the game that does not have the same texture on both sides.

M26 Taser

The M26 Taser can be found at the storeroom in Renne's pawnshop in Paris. Appears as the 'K2 Impactor', has a fully black body and is shown with no blast doors. Uses batteries as 'ammo'.

M7A3 CS Grenade

M7A3 CS grenades are used by French police officers pursuing Lara during the first few levels. Later Cabal spec ops also use an M7A3 grenade to knock out the guards before infiltrating the Louvre.
