Solution
Turn the power button to 'ON' position.
Make sure the speaker is charged. If you are not sure that the battery is charged attach the charging cable to the UGO and plug the other end into any active USB port.
If using a Micro SD card make sure that the play/pause button is not in pause position.
If connected wirelessly check status of the device that is connected. Make sure that the UGO is paired - connected and that the media is playing.
Try pressing the Mode button to switch modes.
Try turning the power Off then back On.

Micro SD card is inserted into UGO but no music plays
Solution
Make sure the power button is in the 'ON' position.
Songs must be in MP3 format.
Check that the battery is charged.
Try Pressing the Pause/ Play button.
Make sure SD card is inserted with printing up and is pushed in until you hear a click.
For help transferring files onto your Micro SD card, please read the UGO Micro SD card Troubleshooting Section.
ALL songs must be in MP3 format. Other formats, such as, WAV, AIFF, AU, FLAC, OGG, AAC, etc.; require an Audio Converter. We recommend the following audio software converter for both MAC and Windows computers:
Switch MP3 Converter Software*
*UGO Speakers is in no way associated with or endorses NCH Software. We merely recommend them as a universal audio converter.

Trying to play music and charge UGO at the same time but no sound comes out
Bluetooth Speaker And Radio
Solution
With all cables connected turn the UGO power button Off and then On again.
If playing from a computer with a Mac OS connect the charging end of the cable to a wall adaptor. The UGO will not charge and play from a Mac OS computer unless the charging cable is plugged separately.

Solution
Charge the battery.
Unplug the charging cable if the battery is fully charged. Charging a fully charged battery while playing will cause distortion. If using UGO vers 4.0 or vers. 4.2 you should not have this problem.
If connected via Bluetooth try using the audio cable. The version of Bluetooth in your device may transfer data too slowly for good audio playback.

Solution
See instructions for the Bluetooth UGO. There are detailed instructions on how to pair most devices. If you still cannot pair your device contact the manufacturer of your device for additional information.
Check that no other device is currently paired to the UGO. Only one device can be connected to the UGO at one time.
If the UGO is available to make a Bluetooth connection the light will alternate between green and red. If there is no red light shown the UGO is connected to another device. You need to turn off the Bluetooth function of that device or un-pair it from the UGO to connect a new device.
If you have UGO vers. 4.0 or vers. 4.2 the light will blink rapidly blue indicating that the UGO is ready to pair. In Bluetooth mode the light will blink slowly blue indicating that the UGO is already paired to a nearby device that is active - but not playing. To pair to a new device you will have to either turn the paired device off, take it at least 60 ft away from the UGO or unpair it.
PAIRING TO A COMPUTER:
If you are having trouble pairing to a computer check your computers vs of Bluetooth. It is possible that even though your computer may have Bluetooth capability that the version is not advanced enough to stream an audio signal. It will need to be at least vs 3.0.
In this case you can always plug the speaker into the headphone jack of your computer using the included 2 in 1 cable.
If you are determined to have a bluetooth connection you can buy one of our bluetooth transmitters. The UGO Bluetooth transmitter plugs into the headphone jack of your computer, TV or other device and will turn the audio signal from that device into a bluetooth transmission. The transmitter will easily pair to your UGO speaker. If your device does not have a headphone jack the transmitter also comes with adaptor cables that will plug into the red and white audio jacks found on the back of television sets and stereos.

My Bluetooth is connected but has poor sound quality
Solution
There are different versions of Bluetooth technology. These (older) versions are sufficient to use a wireless mouse or keyboard but do not transfer data quickly enough to play music.
If you are experiencing poor sound quality via Bluetooth connection with a computer check your computers vs of Bluetooth. It is possible that even though your computer may have Bluetooth that the version is not advanced enough to stream an audio signal. It will need to be at least vs 3.0.
In this case you can always plug the speaker into the headphone jack of your computer using the included 2 in 1 cable.

Solution
Try using the charging cable as an antenna. Plug in normally. You can even charge the UGO at the same time. Radio signals must be strong for a good connection.

Solution
Remove the Micro SD card. The SD card overrides all other functions.

Ewa A106 Portable Mini Bluetooth Speaker Manual
Best results with UGO vers. 4.2 Bluetooth speaker.
Using the 2 in 1 cable that came with the speaker:
- Make a Bluetooth connection with a UGO Bluetooth speaker vers. 4.2
- Using the 2 in 1 cable that came with the speaker - plug the 3.5mm end into the aux out port of the speaker.
- Plug the mini USB end of the same cable into a second speaker.
The audio signal coming from audio device is transmitted to the first speaker. The same audio signal will simultaneously jump to speaker number two.
Connecting two speakers that are not vers. 4.2.
Use the above instructions to connect the cables but only plug the 3.5mm plug that goes into the source speaker halfway. This was an unintended function of the speakers as the aux out port is a headphone jack in every other version, but it does work.

Solution
A setting in the audio device is usually the cause of this. Be certain that the volume of your device is turned up. Check settings and make sure that 'Media' volume is turned up. If this does not solve the problem Un-pair the speaker from the device. Turn both your device and the speaker off. If your device has a removable battery briefly take the battery out of the device off and push the power button to discharge any remaining charge. Replace the battery. Turn the device and the speaker back on. Pair again.
If this does not solve the problem try pairing the speaker to a different device or alternately try using a wired connection or the FM radio to check the speakers volume.
Solution
Make sure the battery is charged or plug the charging cord into a USB power source. Put your UGO Bluetooth speaker within a couple of feet of the transmitter. Using the supplied cables plug the transmitter into either a headphone jack or the red and white audio out jacks of the audio source (like a television).
Turn the transmitter on. Turn the UGO Bluetooth speaker on. Pairing is automatic.
Solution
Purchase a Bluetooth transmitter from ugospeakers.com. Follow instructions for quick and simple connection.
Solution
Connect two speakers so they play from the same source.
The UGO 10 ft extension cable has both a female and a male end. Plug the male end of the cable into your source speaker. The source speaker is the one that is connected and playing via Bluetooth, direct plug-in, Micro SD card or the FM radio.
Plug the mini USB end of the 2 in 1 cable that came with the speaker into the second speaker. Plug the female end of the 10 ft cable into the male end of the same cable.
Using the UGO 4.2 Bluetooth Speaker with my Guitar
Solution
The UGO vers. 4.2 speaker can be plugged directly into an active guitar and used as a mini amp. You will need to get a ¼ to 1/8 headphone adaptor to make the 2 in 1 cable fit. You can also use accessories like the UGO 10 ft cable to extend the space between the guitar and the speaker. These adaptors are available at most electronics and music stores.
