Cuphead is one of a kind run and gun indie videogame developed and published by StudioMDHR. Although the developer company wasn’t highly trained at the time of development process, they nailed it with selling more than a million copies in its first two weeks alone. Although Cuphead is been out on these four major platforms, it was initially released exclusively on Xbox One and PC in September 2017 thanks to Microsoft’s support for indie games at the time.
Cuphead is a classic run and gun action game heavily focused on boss battles. Inspired by cartoons of the 1930s, the visuals and audio are painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era, i.e. Traditional hand drawn cel animation, watercolor backgrounds, and original jazz recordings. It features a local coop where two players can play together to take down bosses.
